Noise Candy Music released the album “we all need fire” today. It was composed and produced by Jörg, and features the super talented vocalists Sofi, Faith Richards (which also sang on Jörg’s “war of roses” EP), and Elenna Sindler aka “Konishi“. “We all need fire” is a blend of moody, upbeat tracks that shimmer with nocturnal energy and more intimate, emotional tracks capturing heartbreak, rebirth, and reckless love in equal measure. The album balances bold, emotionally charged anthems with moody, rhythm-driven cuts built for dimly lit dance floors. Each vocalist brings her own signature tone and emotional fingerprint, yet together they form a cohesive narrative: strength in softness, power in vulnerability, and light breaking through darkness.

Native Instruments “Absynth 6”

Native Instruments released the semi-modular software synthesizer “Absynth 6” on December 9, 2025. The original “Absynth” software instrument was developed and designed by Brian Clevinger. Absynth 6 honors that vision while adding a sleek new interface and deeply expressive features – connecting the classic textures you love with modern production power. Native Instruments invited Jörg to contribute sounds for this re-release. This was his 2nd project for Native Instruments this year after designing sounds for their “Circular” Kontakt instrument.

“Dongji Rescue” movie released

The “Dongji Rescue” movie was released. Jörg was part of the music team of this 2025 Chinese historical war action movie. It is based on the real-life “Lisbon Maru” incident during World War II. The film tells the story of Chinese fishermen who risked their lives to save over 300 British prisoners of war. The Japanese transport ship carrying them was sunk in the waters near Zhoushan by the submarine “USS Grouper”.

Jörg provided custom designed synthesizer sounds and drum instruments to Icelandic composer Atli Örvarsson.
Jörg and Atli collaborated on numerous projects over the years going back to 2007. This included “The Hitman’s Bodyguard” movies and various TV shows including the “Chicago” TV shows and the latest “FBI” TV series.

The storyline text for “Dongji Rescue” on IMDb reads:

The film is based on a true history of World War II. In 1942, a Japanese cargo ship “Lisbon Maru” carrying more than 1,800 British prisoners of war was torpedoed by an American submarine in the waters near the Zhoushan Islands. Nearby Dongji fishermen risked their lives to rescue some 300 British servicemen, and protected and rescued three Britons during a massive Japanese search. This history is known as the Lisbon Maru shipwreck.

Sound Design for 10 Phantom Rooms

Jörg designed presets for 10 Phantom Room s, a new company founded by longtime industry veteran Tobias Menguser. Tobias teamed up with Film- and Television composer P aul Haslinger and electronic artist Peter Baumann to develop next-generation Kontakt instruments for Film and Media composers.

Jörg designed Kontakt snapshots for all their latest releases, including “Low End Strings”, “Low End Modular”, “Crosstalk Piano”, “Crosstalk Modular” and an upcoming instrument that is currently under development. All instruments offer the morphing between four instrument layers for endless possibilities.

“Crosstalk Piano” is an upright piano combined with processed multi-samples in a completely new way. It allows shifting layered piano sounds over time with per-layer volume modulations. The instrument is exclusively distributed by Native Instruments.

“Low End Modular” contains sounds of premium vintage and modern modular systems pushed to the brink of their lowest pitches. Explore deep drones, pulsing pads, seismic basses, and special effects, created from over 200 sound sources.

“Low End Strings” contains the lowest playable octaves captured from a real string orchestra, heavily processed through vintage and modern outboard gear. Users can explore super-low hybrid strings, rumbling basses, and deep, modern organic pads.

10 Phantom Rooms is based on the Balearic Islands of Spain.

Sparse Music released the album “Simply Ambient Tension” with 11 tracks written and composed by Jörg. These ambient tracks arouse interest and anticipation, and convey a feeling of light suspense. Their neutral character supports different moods and atmospheres.
“Simply Ambient Tension” is Jörg’s fifth album release with Sparse Music, besides tracks on 5 other albums shared with other composers. Previous Sparse Music releases were used for placements in PBS “Nova” science show amongst other placements.

Sparse Music released the album “Simply Ambient Drama” with 10 atmospheric and emotional underscore tracks written and composed by Jörg. The album description reads “Ambient soundscapes. Expressive atmospheres as an underscore or emotional impulses.”
This album reveals a very different side of Jörg’s composing possibilities with often fragile and sentimental melodies bedded in floating and ever changing soundscapes.
This is Jörg’s fourth album release with Sparse Music, besides tracks on 5 other albums shared with other composers. Previous Sparse Music releases were used for placements in PBS “Nova” amongst other shows.

After a long break Tom Wendt of Skating Dog Productions came by in person for a new post-NAMM show interview with Jörg. This time the interview was released on German Music Tech YouTube channel musotalk.de.

Topics include Jörgs new studio, current gear and software used. Current projects and the state of the business are discussed as well. The conversation also goes to AI and its possible impact on music and the industry and Jörg’s take on the topic. The video ends with a tour of his current gear and setup starting around the 44 minute mark. Older interviews can be found here.

“Silo” streaming on Apple TV+ !

The dystopian SciFi TV Show “Silo” starring Rebecca Ferguson and Tim Robbins is now available for streaming on Apple TV+. The remaining survivors of humanity live in an underground bunker which they believe protects them from ruined world outside.

Jörg provided synthesizer programming and custom designed instruments and sounds to Icelandic composer Atli Örvarsson. For this project the entire arsenal of software and hardware synthesizers was in use.

Going back to 2007 Atli and Jörg collaborated on numerous projects over the years. This included “The Hitman’s Bodyguard” movies and various TV shows including the “Chicago” TV shows and the latest “FBI” TV series.

Music placements in PBS Nova “Rebuilding Notre Dame”

Jörg placed several tracks in the PBS show “Nova” in episode “Rebuilding Notre Dame”. This episode goes behind the scenes with a team of engineers, masons and timber workers tackling the daunting challenges of restoring the historic landmark. The world watched as a devastating fire almost destroyed Paris’ iconic Notre Dame cathedral in April 2019. In fact Paris came dangerously close to loosing its historic landmark.

“Nova” is a highly respected science and nature show on PBS. This specific episode for instance is not the only one worth watching. It was also not the firs time Jörg’s tracks were used. The placed tracks came from Jörg’s albums produced for Sparse Music, which is represented by BMG Production Music in the US.
