Native Instruments “Absynth 6”

Native Instruments released the semi-modular software synthesizer “Absynth 6” on December 9, 2025. The original “Absynth” software instrument was developed and designed by Brian Clevinger. Absynth 6 honors that vision while adding a sleek new interface and deeply expressive features – connecting the classic textures you love with modern production power. Native Instruments invited Jörg to contribute sounds for this re-release. This was his 2nd project for Native Instruments this year after designing sounds for their “Circular” Kontakt instrument.

Native Instruments “Circular”

Native Instruments released the “expressive polyphonic sequencer” Kontakt instrument “Circular” in May 2025. The Kontakt library instrument was developed and designed by Frank Elting. Circular follows Franks’ trilogy of the renowned granular Kontakt instruments “Straylight“, “Pharlight”, and “Ashlight”. Frank invited Jörg again to contribute sounds for this new release. With support for polyphonic aftertouch, “Circular” allows for very expressive sequencing modulation simply while playing it.

“Circular gives you deep control without slowing your flow. Apply granular effects, unison, delay, and more on a per-step basis, with instant visual feedback and playful drag-and-draw modulation. Polyphonic aftertouch adds expressive nuance to every note, making your patterns feel tactile, dynamic, and alive from the first step.”

“Layer up to four sound sources at once, each with its own sequence, effects, and modulation. Circular’s polyphonic sequencer transforms static notes into evolving patterns, with per-step control over all synthesis parameters – even the sample. Each layer runs independently, letting you craft dynamic polyrhythms and richly textured performances in seconds.”
“Circular” also allows to add user samples. Add multiple samples at once, each mapped to one of 128 user slots, then shape them into something entirely new.

Sound Design for 10 Phantom Rooms

Jörg designed presets for 10 Phantom Room s, a new company founded by longtime industry veteran Tobias Menguser. Tobias teamed up with Film- and Television composer P aul Haslinger and electronic artist Peter Baumann to develop next-generation Kontakt instruments for Film and Media composers.

Jörg designed Kontakt snapshots for all their latest releases, including “Low End Strings”, “Low End Modular”, “Crosstalk Piano”, “Crosstalk Modular” and an upcoming instrument that is currently under development. All instruments offer the morphing between four instrument layers for endless possibilities.

“Crosstalk Piano” is an upright piano combined with processed multi-samples in a completely new way. It allows shifting layered piano sounds over time with per-layer volume modulations. The instrument is exclusively distributed by Native Instruments.

“Low End Modular” contains sounds of premium vintage and modern modular systems pushed to the brink of their lowest pitches. Explore deep drones, pulsing pads, seismic basses, and special effects, created from over 200 sound sources.

“Low End Strings” contains the lowest playable octaves captured from a real string orchestra, heavily processed through vintage and modern outboard gear. Users can explore super-low hybrid strings, rumbling basses, and deep, modern organic pads.

10 Phantom Rooms is based on the Balearic Islands of Spain.

Groove Synthesis “3rd Wave” hardware synth released!

Jörg contributed sound presets to the new “3rd Wave – Advanced Wavetable Synthesizer” by Groove Synthesis. The unit was just shown at the ‘Synthplex’ music show in Burbank, California and delivered to first customers in the USA. The synthesizer offers

24 voices
3 oscillators per voice
analog low pass filter per voice
state variable filter
4-part multi-timbrality
built in custom wavetable maker

and a powerful crisp sound with easy accessibility to parameters through its large amount of knobs, buttons and the large display. The resemblance in its design to a German wavetable synth from the early 80s doesn’t seem to be a coincidence. The California-based company consists of creatives that were responsible for a lot of other products for Avid and Sequential amongst others.

Arturia “_Augmented GRAND PIANO” Instrument released

Arturia released the new software instrument “_Augmented GRAND PIANO” today. Jörg contributed again sound presets and patches to this new software instrument. It is the third release of their “_Augmented” instrument series after “_Augmented STRINGS” and “_Augmented BRASS”. “_Augmented GRAND PIANO” is a hybrid software instrument based on real grand piano samples and recordings combined with synthetic engines offering granular, wavetable, harmonic and virtual analog synthesis.

Arturia “_Augmented STRINGS” instrument released

Arturia released the new software instrument “_Augmented STRINGS” today. Jörg contributed presets to this new hybrid instrument. It is also part of their newly released “V-Collection 9” instrument bundle. “_Augmented STRINGS” is a hybrid software instrument based on real string ensemble and solo strings samples combined with synthetic engines offering granular, wavetable, harmonic and virtual analog synthesis.

Roland “n/zyme” Expansion for FANTOM released!

Roland released the expansion “n/zyme” for Roland “FANTOM” series synthesizers. Jörg contributed Wavetables and Tones to this new expansion. “n/zyme” is a thoroughly modern instrument with an all-new synth engine from Roland. Combining wavetable oscillator layers, phase and shape modulation, resonant filters, and two powerful step LFOs. It is a highly interactive music tool that sparks endless creative exploration with FANTOM synthesizers.

Arturia “V-Collection 8” out now!

Arturia released version 8 of their well known “V-Collection” software synthesizer bundle. It includes new instruments and lots new sounds created by Jörg, amongst other sound designers. For this release Jörg created new sounds specifically for the software synths “Mini V3”, “Synthi V” and “Matrix-12”.

Native-Instruments “Straylight” out now!

Native-Instruments released their new granular instrument called “Straylight” for Kontakt. The project was spearheaded by Frank Elting in consultation with TV- and Filmcomposer Paul Haslinger. Jörg provided sound presets for this new Kontakt instrument.

Arturia V-Collection 7 out!

Arturia released version 7 of their well known “V-Collection” plugin bundle with new instruments and lots of new sounds created by Jörg, amongst other sound designers. He specifically did new sounds for the plugins “SEM V2”, “Jup-8 V3” and “Mini V3” for this release.
